"You can have everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want." Zig Ziglar
I keep mentioning this quote from Zig Ziglar because it is so powerful. There are a lot of other quotes that are more famous, more motivational, more inspirational, or more (choose a category) and yet this quote is something we simply need to keep doing. And doing. Keep helping people. By adding LinkedIn to the mix, we can stay connected to those people more easily and provide a way for our connections to stay connected more easily.
Another friend spoke with me on the phone recently and I found out that this friend has not made progress financially in over a year. He's basically in the same place and we were talking over a year ago about possible solutions.
This goes back to spending some time building more organized solutions so that you don't keep ending up back in a survival situation. If you have a position and choose not to create any other streams of income [or at least to organize your networking so that later you can call on people you have helped], and that position "goes away", you can be back where you were months or even years before.
Networking is a great way to help people if you do it right AND, you will find that many of those people will be willing to help you when you want or need it. Networking, in my opinion, is taking time to be concerned about what others are concerned about and seeing what possible solutions there are through the relationships you have.
If you've only got a few, that's ok. Just get started. You'll see that your connections grow as you think of yourself more and more as someone who networks. At some point, other people will think of you as someone who networks as so many people do with me. Ask your people "what do you need next most?" and when you're asked that question and you answer it, there's a question you can follow up with. "Who do you know?"

Hey everyone! Cool site! The customer support seems good and the technology jobs are endless. Maybe I will have a better directmatch searching for human resources
since my keyword "customer care jobs" did not fit as intended.
Glad I found you! Keep on keepin on!
Thank you for your wonderful advice. Although I did not find admin jobs as a custom directmatch to your internet site, I did however enjoy the matching fun IM from other posts. www.directmatch4free.com
Thanks again for your friends!
